I Call Myself an Idea Horder, Here’s Why.

dark room with windows and wall of files and books falling down.

I’ve always had more ideas than time or energy to bring them to fruition.

So, I hoard them. Printed they end up in piles which make my desk look like a ski slope. I have notes in my daily journal (with keywords I hope I’ll remember), a Trello board, and OneNote packed with ideas, headlines, and links to read or reread. Almost forgot the reading list — I think I have one on paper, and electronic ones in OneNote, Libby, my Kindle, Amazon, Powells Books, and…

I wish I did more with those ideas - but since they just keep coming, pounding on my head when I’m driving, in the shower, and especially when I’m trying to sleep - I don’t go back and revisit them.

In the end, just because you had an idea, doesn’t make it a good one.

Cheers,

~ Tess
