Writer ~ Eclectic Hoarder of Ideas ~ Migraineur ~ Productivity Junky ~ Research Nerd ~ 4th Gen Oregonian

My background is eclectic, which some find charming, others distressing :-)

I have degrees in Theater Arts and Micro and Molecular Biology, and no matter what job I fell into, I always found myself writing. Everything from marketing copy, RFPs (the grant writing of the business world), Website Copy, Training Manuals, Job Recs…, and well, you get the idea. I’ve even penned occasional play.

I have been, in no particular order…

A dancer, a singer, a student, a research assistant, a program manager, a director of a dance and gymnastics academy, an actor, a front office manager of a medical office, a bookseller, a sales floor assistant, a delivery driver (I sucked at it), a writer of erotica, a costume character, a barista, a runner (not the running kind — more like this), a beta tester, a personal assistant, a customer service rep, a stagehand, a project manager, a teacher, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, an awesome friend (to at least one person), a romantic partner, owned by pets, and lastly a migraineur which apparently defines me more than any of the above.

~ About Me from Medium (don’t stress it is a friend link, I just hate repeating myself)

As a ghostwriter, my areas of experience include:

Medical ~ Healthcare ~ Project Management ~ Small Business ~ Training Content ~ Teaching: Dance, Theater, Preschoolers ~ Biology ~ Chronic Conditions ~ Productivity ~ Mental Health

But I’m perfectly capable of ramping up on topics, as my 700 different descriptions of synthetic motor oil prove.

My bylined articles focus on:

Migraines ~ Creativity ~ Storytelling ~ Productivity through the lens of Chronic Illness ~ Food Sensitivities ~ Gluten & Corn free cooking ~ My New Mexico Adventure.

What floats my boat?

Taking complex ideas or information and making it accessible to a wider audience is my favorite thing to do. For that, my background is key. I’ve worked in all sorts of jobs with people from different backgrounds and ages. And I loved most of it, and what I didn’t love, I wouldn’t trade. After all, the best stories are about the rough patches, not the clear sailing.
