Cleo is one of a small colony of feral cats we’ve been caring for in Socorro County. When we brought her in for TNR, we discovered she was 7 weeks pregnant and opted to let her come to term. She is just over 2 years old, so this is likely her second litter. To provide her with someone familiar, we kept Chloe, who is around 8 months old, to keep her company and play the role of “Big Sister.” Feral cat colonies have complicated social structures, and adult females from previous litters often help with younger siblings.

Cleo gave birth on April 18th. She is very protective, and we are not yet sure of the number of kittens. We know there are 4 - two orange and two gray/white.
